Bio:

Barrie trained at The University Of Hertfordshire whilst working in the USA in repertory Theatre in New York

Since then, his journey has taken him far and wide in many theatre shows including Nicholas Nickleby (Gordon Craig Theatre), John Godber's Teechers (UK Tour), Neville's Island (Marches Theatre), Little Red Riding Hood and The Gingerbread man (Liverpool Actors Studio).

His UK Musical highlights include, A Chorus Line (Gordon Craig Theatre), Rocky Horror Show (UK Tour) and most recently, Innit The Musical at The Lowry Theatre where he received rave reviews of his portrayal of Smithy, an unhinged, psychotic cellmate whilst giving a performance likened to Jack Nicholson in The Shining and Nicholas Cage in Frankly anything.

Since he was 18, Barrie has been regularly performing in TV, Film and many commercials. Credits include: Odd Squad (BBC Studios), Everything But The Ball (ITV Yorkshire), House Of Anubis (Nickelodeon), Ghost Writer (ITV Yorkshire) and Features Films Bringing Back Goldeneye (Woodhouse Pictures) and The Move (Lovebomb Pictures).

He can currently be seen in the brand new Christmas Movie The Secret Santa Project (Sea High Productions) on Amazon, Apple Tv and Sky, playing lead role Jerry opposite Mark Williams, Frances Barber, Samantha Giles, Richard Durden and Charlie Brooks.

Barrie is also an accomplished writer and director and has written and directed two musicals based on the Shakespeare plays Much Ado About Nothing and Kiss Me Kate. He has also written The Gingerbread Man for Panto Ever After and various TV and film scripts that are currently in development.

When it comes to Panto, Barrie has played everything from the Prince in Cinderella (PHA) and in Sleeping Beauty (Extravaganza); King Rat In Dick Whittington (Chester Theatres) and Genie, PC Pong & Emperor in Aladdin (Oldham Coliseum & PMA) to Idle Jack, Abanazar and Buttons in Jack & The Beanstalk, Aladdin and Cinderella (Panto Ever After).
